The Ironwood Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition and sale of painted wood constructions by sculptor Larry Fox. The solo exhibition features twenty-five wall-mounted and freestanding sculptural pieces that reflect Fox’s unique style of combining form, texture, color and dimension into objects that invite contemplation.
Fox’s work draws heavily from three areas of his background; industrial design, film set construction and furniture making. The mix, and re-mix, of these disciplines enable each piece of work to have a singular presence. His multiple-piece wall installations are designed to be hung horizontally or vertically -- at the discretion of the collector. The result is that the work is dynamic in both form and presentation. Installations can be rotated and re-positioned at will, giving the collector the opportunity to interact with the work and see it in a new relationship with every change of position. Like the branches of a tree, the work of Larry Fox draws its strength from its roots with each piece reaching outward in its own unique way.
Gallery hours: Thursday-Saturday 11-5, Sunday 12-4, and by appointment. |
